I was born in Adria (Veneto).
I take photos on film. Many photos. Analog photos.
With different cameras, quite a few cameras.
These cameras fascinate me, they've lived many lives.
My oldest is from 1937, and most of these photos were taken with it.
A Rolleiflex.
I love developing photos. I love learning patience, slowing things down, lowering the volume and improving the quality.
These are things, I feel, are being lost, more and more.
I like simplicity.
I am happiest in random, simple moments.
I love capturing those moments on film, so I never forget them.
I’ve lived in Modena, Augsburg, London, Dublin, Galway, and now, since 2016, I live in Martigny (Valais).
I am lucky. I know many people I love, and I enjoy taking portraits of them because I think they are beautiful.
I live far from my family and my roots.
I miss them.
When I'm with them, I make sure to make up for the time I've been away. And I frame those memories too, they're invaluable.
I love living in Switzerland.
It's home.
When I spend time in the mountains with my adoptive family here, I always carry my camera because so many moments I experience here deserve to be captured on film.
I come from the sea and live in the mountains.
I am made of both.
I love how they complete each other and how they change together with the seasons.
I make sure to capture that on film too.
I love collecting memories, and I can't refrain from taking photos, it’s a compulsion.
My photos are essentially memories, memories are who you are. Memories are stories to be shared.
Also,
I am absolutely obsessed with blue.
